First Baptist Church Baldwyn, Mississippi, is seeking a Minister of Music with a passion for leading our intergenerational congregation in worship. Our Minister of Music will lead both choir and congregational singing and work effectively with the ministry team across all aspects of church life. With the support and leadership of the Senior Pastor, the Minister of Music will lead all church instrumentalists, choirs, and the audiovisual team.Personal Attributes:· A personal relationship with God through Jesus Christ and striving to grow in that relationship.· A heart for reaching the lost.· A passion to involve and equip people for ministry.· A willingness to work within a team atmosphere in all aspects of FBC ministries.· An understanding of the theology of worship.· 5 years of related experience desired.Major Responsibilities:· Work with the pastor to develop and coordinate music for worship services.· Have the ability to read and analyze music to lead choirs, vocal ensembles, and instrumentalists.· Plan programs for events and holiday services.· Create and operate within an annual budget.
