Minister of Music + Students Full-Time | Reports to Senior Pastor | Competitive Compensation
First Baptist Alcoa is looking for a minister who loves the local church, has a heart for people, and is willing to consider how God might use their gifts in more than one area of ministry. Who We're Hoping to Find
We know the Lord doesn't give everyone the same gifts, and we're not expecting someone to be equally gifted in every part of this position.
Perhaps you've spent most of your ministry leading worship but have a growing heart for students. Or perhaps you've served in student ministry and discovered that God has also equipped you to lead His people in song.
We want to celebrate what God has already equipped you to do while encouraging you to keep learning and growing in the areas where He's still developing you.
We're looking for someone with a clear calling to ministry, strong musical ability, a heart for biblical discipleship, agreement with Southern Baptist beliefs, and a willingness to keep learning.
Growing Together
We understand that worship and student ministry each have their own seasons of greater activity. Our goal isn't to ask one person to carry two full-time jobs, but to build a healthy, sustainable ministry around the strengths of the right leader, supported by volunteers and church leadership.
As the church grows, we'll continue evaluating how best to support both ministries. We'll also evaluate this position for advancement to ordination as a pastor and eldership.
If you love the local church and sense that God may be leading you toward an opportunity that looks a little different from what you originally imagined, we'd welcome a conversation.
