Immanuel Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Minister of Worship to lead and develop our worship ministry, with a primary focus on our Contemporary Worship Service.
We are looking for a worship leader who is passionate about Jesus, gifted in musical leadership, committed to biblical worship, and excited about developing people. Immanuel is a Christ-centered, biblically faithful, conservative Baptist church committed to the authority and inerrancy of Scripture.
The Opportunity
The Minister of Worship will provide spiritual, musical, and organizational leadership for the worship ministry.
This is more than leading songs on Sunday. We are looking for someone who will build teams, develop leaders, disciple musicians, and cultivate a worship culture centered on Jesus and grounded in Scripture.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead and provide vision for the Contemporary Worship Ministry.Coordinate and provide leadership for the church's broader musical worship ministry, including the Traditional Service.Recruit, develop, disciple, and encourage worship team members, musicians, and vocalists.Build healthy, effective worship teams and develop emerging worship leaders.Collaborate with pastors and ministry staff to plan meaningful, Christ-centered worship services.Select and arrange music that is biblically sound, theologically rich, and appropriate for the congregation.Help cultivate a culture that prioritizes Jesus over performance, discipleship over platform, and biblical truth over cultural trends.Support the overall mission, vision, and discipleship priorities of Immanuel Baptist Church.
Who We're Looking For
The ideal candidate will be a spiritually mature Christian leader with a clear calling to worship ministry and a passion for leading others toward Christ.
Qualified candidates should:
Demonstrate a genuine, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. Hold theological convictions consistent with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000.Have a minimum of five years of full-time worship ministry or worship leadership experience.Hold a four-year college or seminary degree in Music, Worship Ministry, Music Education, or a related field, or possess equivalent ministry training and experience.Demonstrate strong musical and vocal leadership abilities.Possess excellent relational, communication, and organizational skills.Have a proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead volunteers.Be comfortable leading in both contemporary and traditional worship environments.Demonstrate humility, spiritual maturity, flexibility, and a team-oriented approach to ministry.Possess working knowledge of Worship Tech including Audio and Video.
