Minister to Children and Family Discipleship

Job Overview

The individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of a holistic vision of children's ministry (Birth – 5th Grade) at Grace. This role requires a passion and gifting for family discipleship, organizational leadership, and gospel ministry.

Professional Responsibilities

• Work alongside the Pastor of Discipleship to design and develop a vibrant vision and plan for discipleship of children through equipping of parents that serves our church and community
• Oversee equipping efforts, as well as ministry events/opportunities, of our families with children
• Select, craft, and implement biblically-rich and gospel-centered resources & curriculum that equip the children and their families to grow in their faith
• Recruit, equip, and lead a growing team of volunteers to better serve our families
• Plan and execute regular community outreach events geared at young families in partnership with the vision of Grace Salado working with other staff members of Grace
• Meet regularly with staff and elders to ensure that children's ministry activities and curriculum adhere to and support the objectives and theological distinctions of Grace
• Develop a vision that supports Grace's overall vision of engaging the community and lost families.

• Perform other ministry related duties as assigned by supervisor

• Maintain a personal walk with Christ as your most important responsibility.
• Practice and celebrate the spiritual disciplines for your own hope in God.
• Be personally accountable to elders and members of Grace
• Live out the calling of Jesus Christ within your home, church, and community.
• Continue personal skill development for ministry and take initiative in scheduling and evaluating these training opportunities.
• Be an active member in good standing with Grace (having reviewed and supporting Grace's mission, values and beliefs found on our website)
• Be a self starter with strong work ethic that glorifies God

Experience and Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university required
• Ministry-related experience and/or training required (in children's ministry preferred)
