We're seeking a spiritually mature, Christ-centered leader to serve as the full-time Minister To Students at Forest Hills Baptist Church in Nashville, Tennessee.

This role provides vision, direction, and pastoral care for a vibrant ministry to middle and high school students (grades 6–12). The Minister To Students will lead and develop our student ministry staff team and oversee all discipleship environments, weekly gatherings, worship events, mission trips, retreats, and parent partnerships — helping students grow as gospel-centered disciples who love, grow, serve, and go!

• Provide leadership and direction for the Student Ministry overall — including both Middle and High School — while overseeing the High School specifically and managing a full-time Minister to Middle School Students. This includes...
• Planning and implementing weekly environments such as Sunday School, Wednesday night gatherings, and discipleship groups. o Teaching biblical truth with clarity and conviction in both large-group and small-group settings.
• Equipping, encouraging, and empowering volunteer leaders through intentional recruiting, training, and ongoing care.
• Developing discipleship strategies and ministry initiatives that engage both boys and girls.
• Building meaningful relationships with students inside and outside the church, including presence in schools and community activities.
• Shepherding students through key transition moments.
• Designing engaging events, retreats, mission opportunities, and outreach efforts that connect with unchurched students and families.
• Partnering closely with parents, recognizing them as the primary disciple-makers. o Providing pastoral care and biblical counseling to students, parents, and leaders as needed.
• Communicating consistently and clearly with students, parents, and volunteers.
• Stewarding and managing a six-figure Student Ministry budget effectively.

Qualifications

• A growing follower of Jesus Christ who models a godly life publicly and privately.
• A clear calling and passion for student discipleship and evangelism.
• Strong leadership, teaching, and relational skills — also an ability to recruit, train, and collaborate with volunteers.
• A team player with humility, emotional maturity, and a teachable spirit.
• A master's degree from a Southern Baptist seminary (or a closely aligned theological institution) is not required, but strongly preferred.
