Ministry Office Manager Reports To: Lead Pastor Status: Part-Time Hours: 20 per week Position Summary The Ministry Office Manager supports the daily ministry and administrative work of First Baptist Church of Andersonville. This position helps create an organized, welcoming, and effective church office while assisting the pastoral staff, ministry personnel, and congregation in carrying out the mission and ministry of the church. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a growing relationship with Jesus Christ, a heart for serving others, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to handle ministry-related information with discretion and confidentiality. Primary Responsibilities Church Office & Administration • Manage the day-to-day operations of the church office, including phone calls, email, mail, and general correspondence. • Maintain church records, calendars, files, and other administrative information. • Prepare and distribute church communications, documents, and ministry materials as needed. • Maintain appropriate office supplies, kitchen inventory, and assist with other routine administrative needs. Pastoral & Ministry Support • Provide administrative support to the pastoral staff and other ministry leaders. • Assist with scheduling, correspondence, meetings, and ministry-related projects. • Help coordinate information and communication between church leadership, ministry teams, and the congregation. • Assist with special services, events, and other church-wide ministry needs. Church Communication • Help maintain clear and timely communication with the church family. • Prepare and distribute weekly announcements, bulletins, newsletters, or other church communications. • Assist with updating the church website, social media, and other communication platforms as assigned. Member & Guest Care • Serve as a friendly and helpful point of contact for church members, guests, and community members who contact or visit the church office. • Maintain membership and contact information and assist with church records. • Communicate prayer requests, ministry needs, and other appropriate information to church leadership. • Handle sensitive and confidential information with care and discretion. Qualifications The Ministry Office Manager should: • Demonstrate a personal commitment to Jesus Christ, support the mission and vision of FBCA, and be willing to pursue church membership at FBCA. • Possess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. • Be dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage multiple responsibilities. • Be comfortable using common office technology and willing to learn church-specific software and systems. • Demonstrate professionalism, good judgment, and confidentiality. • Work well with the Lead Pastor, church staff, ministry leaders, volunteers, and congregation. General Expectations The Ministry Office Manager is expected to approach the position with a servant's heart, flexibility, and a willingness to support the overall ministry of the church. Because ministry needs occasionally change, other reasonable responsibilities may be assigned by the Lead Pastor in keeping with the purpose of this position.
