About the Position

This position reports directly to the Senior Pastor. The candidate must be called to IBC and to lead IBC Missions Ministry; to plan, organize, develop and steward the resources of the Ministry to support and achieve the IBC vision:

IBC is God's home for the nations that seeks to unite all people to Christ in love by making disciples for the glory of God.

Distinctive Responsibilities

To be a Missions-Minded Church, the candidate is responsible for leading the Missions Ministry in obedience to the Great Commission by:

• Exposing IBCers to the missionary tasks to make IBC an Acts 1:8 Church across cultures and languages
• Encouraging every church member to serve in IBC by utilizing the spiritual gifts given
• Equipping church members for the missionary tasks given to all in Matt 28: 19-20
• Empowering disciples to live missional lives, united in diversity, to bring others to Christ for the Glory of God
• Leading Missions from an International Church perspective, seeking spiritual direction from the Senior Pastor
• Developing, promoting and prioritizing short-term and long-term mission opportunities in Asia.

Other Responsibilities

• Representing IBC in Missions meeting and conferences.
• Coordinating and collaborating with other IBC ministries in missions' activities.
• Working with international mission agencies in partnership for sending missionaries to the field or in disaster relief.

Position Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

· University Degree in Religious Education or Masters of Divinity or its equivalent.

· Minimum of 5 years in the mission field.

· A pastoral and oversight of mission ministry in a multi-cultural and multi-national Christian church or Christian organization.

· A passionate heart for mission work to fulfil the Great Commission in making disciples of all nations.

· Ability to work independently with a pastoral heart.

· Possesses relevant competency, Baptist church doctrine, forward thinker, teachable spirit and servant- hearted.

· Ability to empower volunteers with meaningful involvement and team building.

· Effective relational and communication skills.
