Music Minister

Position Title: Music Minister Department: Music Reports To: Senior Pastor Status: Part-Time

Position Summary:

This man must have a calling, passion, and the skills to lead our church to worship through Biblically sound, theologically rich music, that complements the preaching and enables all generations to worship God. He will build a Colossians 3:16 music ministry around the people God has brought to Trinity. He must desire to work as part of a team under the authority of the senior pastor.

Essential job functions:

● Support the Senior Pastor in the overall mission and vision of the church, particularly, as it relates to our music ministry. ● Meet regularly with the Senior Pastor to plan worship services and collaborate on music. ● Regularly attend weekly staff meetings. ● Lead a music ministry that engages all generations to sing. ● Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the Music Ministry, including but not limited to Worship Services, and other events as needed. ● Encourage musicians, vocalists, and technicians within TBC to participate and/or lead in various aspects of our music ministry. ● Ensure all involved in the Music Ministry are faithful members of TBC. ● Ensure rehearsals are scheduled, calendared, and communicated effectively. ● Collaborate with volunteers to promote a shared vision for ministry. ● Coordinate with the Media Team to ensure all technology aspects for Worship Services including sound, lighting, visuals, and live streaming function accordingly. ● Operate within our annual music and audio visual budgets. ● Oversee the ordering and management of music, equipment, and supplies. ● Ensures compliance with all CCLI (Christian Copyright Licensing International) requirements. ● Work well with the TBC staff in order to advance the mission of the church. ● Be a faithful member who gives biblically. ● Abide by all personnel policies of TBC. ● All other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.

Qualifications:

● Must be a follower of Jesus, exhibiting a growing relationship and spiritual maturity. ● A man called to ministry whose life is in line with the biblical mandates for pastors found in 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:6-9. ● An effective communicator who agrees with and teaches in accordance with the Baptist Faith & Message 2000. ● A self-motivated leader, capable of casting, imparting and following vision for ministry. ● Possess relational skills with students, adults, and staff. ● One who possesses basic administrative and organizational skills, discipline, and focus.

Education & Experience

● Minimum: High School diploma. ● Preferred: High School diploma with some college or seminary coursework and/or demonstrable music ministry experience. ● Highly Preferred: Demonstrable music ministry experience combined with college and/or seminary education or degree.

Physical Requirements:

● The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 25 pounds. ● Required to sit, stand, bend, stoop, reach, grab, and pull daily. ● Required to perform repetitive physical tasks (computer keyboarding, writing, etc.)
