Our Church
Southview Baptist Church is a multigenerational congregation of 275 in Iowa Colony, Texas focused on reaching our rapidly expanding community. We seek to preach and teach the life-changing Gospel of Jesus Christ, and offer community and encouragement as we learn to live Bible-based lives.
Our Worship
Southview's congregation worship blends traditional hymns with current worship songs. Our instruments consist of piano, organ, keyboard, drums, flutes, and trombone. The choir rehearses each Wednesday, and sings each Sunday using digital soundtracks. Note: We are a memorized choir and do not use music score or lyrics. We rely heavily on the clear direction and vocalized lyrics from our director.
Our Need
We seek a spiritually mature Music and Worship Leader to guide and expand our blended worship ministry, engage our young families with current Christ-honoring worship songs, while including traditional hymns that are meaningful to our longstanding members. This position collaborates with Pastor to expand and broaden our music program for all generations as our church welcomes a vibrant, younger, and diverse community growing around us.
Key Responsibilities
- Select choir anthems and worship music
- Coordinate with staff to prepare and deliver music to choir and instrumentsLead and manage rehearsals
- Coordinate with the media and technology team
- Collaborate with church leadership to engage all ages in music worship
Additional opportunities are available depending on the applicant's calling and skills such as preaching, teaching, outreach, senior ministry, managing media & technology. Applications for a part-time position will be considered.
Salary will be competitive and commensurate with education, experience, and responsibilities.

- A Believer and follower of Christ in all things

- Strong vocal ability
- Discerning / Relational
- College degree preferred
Southview is an established Southern Baptist Church and is not charismatic nor reformed, Pastor Kyle preaches from the New American Standard.
