Job Responsibilities & Duties

1. Provide leadership to a comprehensive worship ministry. This includes planning, organizing, rehearsing, executing and evaluating weekly services with a high degree of excellence. The ideal candidate will be able to lead in a band driven, culturally relevant atmosphere, with a pastor's heart for a choir he will shepherd, as well as a proven ability to integrate a choir into a modern worship service.
2. Recruit, train, shepherd, and direct the musical, vocal, choir, and technical teams.
3. Possess working knowledge of Planning Center Online, ProPresenter, Abelton Live, and best practices for maintaining necessary copyright licenses.
4. Supervise the work of assigned paid staff workers.
5. Create and supervise a multi-generational music and worship program to inspire children and students to reach their peers, to learn the basics of music and worship, and to minister to the church body.
6. Assist the pastor in planning all worship services.
7. Approve music for weddings, funerals, special projects, ministries, and other church related activities upon request.
8. Maintain music library, materials, supplies, musical instruments, and other equipment.
9. Keep informed on music methods, materials, promotion, and administration.
10. Plan, organize, direct and promote musical and dramatic events as determined by Pastoral staff.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
