Position Title: Next Generation Ministry Couple (Family Ministers)

Reports To: Senior Pastor

Employment: Full-Time Combined Position

Position Overview

New Chapel Hill Baptist Church in West Monroe, LA, is seeking a passionate, ministry-minded couple to lead and disciple the next generation. He will primarily lead the Student Ministry (grades 6–12), and she will primarily lead the Children's Ministry (birth–5th grade). Together, they will work in unity to create a seamless discipleship pipeline from nursery through graduation, in alignment with the mission and vision of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church: "To know Jesus and make Him known."

Key Responsibilities

Husband – Student Ministry Director

Provide spiritual leadership, vision, and direction for students in grades 6–12.Plan and lead weekly student gatherings, Bible studies, small groups, and events.Develop and train adult volunteer leaders to disciple students effectively.Build relationships with students through consistent presence, mentorship, and involvement in their lives and activities.Organize youth retreats, mission trips, camps, and outreach opportunities.Integrate students into the overall life and service of the church.Oversee student ministry budget and maintain clear communication with church leadership.

Wife – Children's Ministry Director

Provide vision, structure, and leadership for all children's ministry programs (birth–5th grade).Recruit, train, and encourage volunteers to serve effectively in all children's ministry areas.Ensure a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for children and families.Maintain check-in systems, background checks, and safety protocols.Plan and oversee children's ministry budget & maintain clear communication with church leadership.

Together – Next Gen Coordination

Work together to create a unified discipleship strategy that transitions children into youth and youth into young adult ministry.Oversee curriculum selection and implementation for Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, and special events for all ages – Nursery through 12th grade.Plan seasonal outreach events in a manner that involves family participation (VBS, Fall Festival, Easter, etc.).Organize family retreats, mission trips, community ministry, and outreach opportunities.Partner with parents to equip them in leading their families spiritually at home.Organize and implement ongoing individual discipleship of fathers and mothers in their biblical roles.Organize and implement ongoing discipleship of couples in their biblical roles.

Participate in church-wide events, worship services, outreach, and mission opportunities.Collaborate with pastoral staff for long-term ministry planning and vision.Model a healthy, godly marriage and family life before students, children, and parents.Be active, visible members of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church and the West Monroe community.Qualifications

A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a vibrant walk with God.Agreement with the doctrinal beliefs and core values of New Chapel Hill Baptist Church (Southern Baptist – BF&M 2000).Demonstrated experience in youth and/or children's ministry.Strong organizational and communication skills.Ability to lead teams, develop volunteers, and connect with families.Teachable, humble, and team-oriented spirit.Education in ministry or related field preferred but not required.

Compensation & Benefits

Both positions are one full-time, salaried role, but could be one full-time and one part-time.Compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications.Ministry-related expenses and professional development opportunities provided.
