Position Overview
You will lead and organize our Sunday worship services, cultivate a team of volunteers, and develop broader worship and ministry opportunities. This role offers significant room for creativity, leadership, and impact as our congregation grows. We value theologically sound, God-exalting worship that blends the best of traditional hymns and contemporary songs in a way that engages our hearts and minds in reverence for Christ.
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and lead weekly Sunday morning worship services, including song selection, service flow, and coordination with the preaching pastor.
• Recruit, train, and shepherd a volunteer worship team (musicians, vocalists, tech).
• Organize rehearsals and ensure musical excellence alongside spiritual depth.
• Work collaboratively as an organizer who enjoys developing ministries—identifying and implementing new opportunities to strengthen worship and discipleship.
• Participate in staff/leadership meetings and contribute to the overall vision during our relaunch phase.
• Model biblical leadership and alignment with our reformed, conservative theology.
Position Qualifications:
Qualifications
• Meets the biblical qualifications for church leadership (e.g., 1 Timothy 3:1-7; Titus 1:5-9)—a person of character, integrity, and spiritual maturity.
• Skilled musician and worship leader with experience leading congregational worship.
• Passion for developing people and ministries; strong organizational skills.
• Committed to reformed, conservative theology and full alignment with Cypress Bible Fellowship and the Bible Fellowship Church denomination. A formal Bible degree is not required.
• Heart for transition and long-term investment in a smaller, growing church plant context.
• Able to work part-time with flexibility for Sunday mornings and occasional additional commitments.

We are seeking a part-time Worship Leader (approximately 10-15 hours/week) to join our team during this dynamic period of growth and development. Our current volunteer worship leader is transitioning out over the next few years, and we want someone who will partner with us through this transition—helping to build a sustainable, biblically rich worship ministry for the long term.
