Job Description:
We are seeking a pastor who is grounded in biblical teaching, committed to pastoral care, and passionate about building meaningful relationships within the church and surrounding community. The ideal candidate will provide clear spiritual leadership while helping the church cultivate sustainable growth, strengthen congregational life, and engage younger generations and families.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preach and teach the gospel of Jesus Christ during weekly worship services
- Provide pastoral care, including counseling, visitation, weddings, and funerals
- Lead and communicate a clear vision for the church's spiritual direction and ministry
- Oversee church staff, programs, and day-to-day ministry operations
- Collaborate with deacons, committees, and ministry leaders to support church life
- Partner with His Heart, a community ministry housed within the church facilities, along with other local ministries serving West Jackson
- Build relationships with local pastors, churches, and community organizations to expand ministry outreach and engagement
For relevant and qualified candidates, the compensation package may also include seminary tuition remission and a housing stipend.

- Bachelor's degree required
- Seminary education preferred
- Experience in pastoral leadership or church ministry preferred
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills
- Commitment to community engagement and discipleship
