Qualifications:The Pastor must be a licensed and ordained minister of the Gospel and demonstrate appropriate theological, doctrinal, and administrative skills to adequately fulfill this position's nurturing, preaching and teaching requirements. Theological training and schooling from an accredited Southern Baptist theological seminary is preferred.

Reports to: Leadership TeamResponsible to: Church Membership

Duties:

• Shall give himself to the ministry of the Word and the leadership of the congregation and shall be charged with the spiritual well-being and oversight of the church
• Conduct religions services on stated and special occasions. This may include both traditional and contemporary services on Sunday mornings
• Administer the ordinances of the Baptist faith, minister to members of the church and community and perform other mutually agreed upon duties that usually pertain to that office
• Responsible for the pulpit ministry of the church, including providing for pulpit supply when he is absent and arranging for speakers for revivals and other special services.
• Develop church and ministerial goals and an implementation plan to achieve those goals annually.
• Personally practice soul winning and regularly leads people to Christ
• Review goals and attainment of those goals with the Leadership Team as part of the annual evaluation process
• Evaluate other ministers and support personnel on an annual basis
• Cooperate with local, state and denominational developments, and represent the church in denominational and civic matters
• Serve as an ex-officio member of all organizations, departments and teams
