Pastor for English Ministry

Job Overview

We are currently seeking a new English Ministry Pastor to preach weekly, shepherd our English Congregation, and serve with the Elder Team to lead the overall church. The qualifications for the candidate include:

1. A man who meets the New Testament qualifications for an Elder

2. Complete agreement with the Church Statement of Faith, the Apostles' Creed, and our 5 Doctrinal Distinctions

3. An expository preacher

4. Seminary training (MDiv or equivalent)

5. Local Church ministry experience

6. Experience in immigrant and/or multicultural churches is preferred

7. Mandarin skills are not necessary, but would enhance the candidate's ministry

Job Description

Responsibilities include:

 Preaching and leading Sunday services

 Overseeing the English worship team

 Overseeing English Life Groups (currently they meet in homes and are sermon-based)

 Overseeing English biblical training through Sunday School

 Providing pastoral care to the English Congregation

 Serving on the Elder Team, which is comprised of biblically qualified leaders from both the English and the Chinese congregations.

 Working with other staff members, including the Chinese Pastor and Youth Pastor.

 Discipling and equipping the saints to engage in the ministries of evangelism and discipleship
