About the Position
To serve believers for God's glory, the senior Pastor position at Grace Fellowship requires a strong servant leader, called by God, who has a genuine love for God as described in Matthew 22:36-39.
The senior Pastor will successfully contribute to the ministry of Grace Fellowship in the following key areas:
- Minister the Word of God – Minister the Word of God by preaching expository sermons boldly and clearly so that the Bible passage is presented entirely and exactly as it was intended by God.
In addition to Sunday sermons, minister the Word of God in teaching Bible Studies and in exhorting, encouraging, rebuking, comforting, guiding, guarding, and challenging toward obedience, resulting in Christlikeness. (2 Timothy 4:2; 1 Timothy 3:2; Titus 1:7-11)
- Minister in Shepherding – Lovingly care for the personal needs of the church, by reaching out as a protective shepherd, watching over each believer in the assembly, and shepherding His flock as defined in Scripture. (1 Peter 5:2; Hebrews 13:17; 1 Timothy 3:4-5; Titus 1:6-9)
- Minister in Leadership – Caring for the church of God, presiding over the local body as an overseer (superintendent) who loves God and His people, being an example to the flock, consistently modeling Christlike maturity before all men, especially believers. (1 Timothy 3:5; 1 Peter 5:2-3; 1 Timothy 4:11-12)
- Minister in Developing Elders – As God provides qualified men, develop other Biblically qualified elders in the church. (2 Timothy 2:2)
- Minister in Prayer – Spend regular time praying for daily protection, guidance, insight, wisdom, fellowship, outreach, and victory over temptation. (James 5:14-15; Col. 4:2; 1 Thess. 5:17)
- Minister by Evangelizing and Engaging with the Community – Personally sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ through his own life, as well as encouraging the church to do the same in theirs. Reach out to the local community sharing the gospel and building relationships in the community. (Matthew 28:18-20; Romans 15:1-6; 1 Peter 2:21)

Education and Experience:
- Master of Divinity or equivalent preferred
- Two years of pastoral ministry or equivalent preferred

- Committed to Jesus Christ as personal Lord and Savior and to the authority of Scripture.
- Believes in the power of prayer and has a strong personal prayer and devotional life.
- Displays the fruit of the Spirit and relies upon the Holy Spirit for every aspect of his life and ministry.
- Pursues righteousness and a Godly life.
- Is theologically aligned with Grace Fellowship Church.
- Seeks, receives, and accepts Godly counsel and constructive criticism.
- Is committed to collaborating with the Elders to develop a vision and clear strategy for growing a small, but committed, church.
- Can effectively identify and communicate goals, plan short-term and long-term projects, identify and establish timelines for achieving those goals, and execute plans in a timely manner.
- Can motivate others to participate in achieving vision and planning goals for church renewal and growth.
- Has a strong marriage with a spouse who shares God's call to the church renewal ministry and who wholeheartedly supports her husband in this undertaking.
- Has received and accepted a calling from God for ministry.

Grace Fellowship Church is seeking a senior Pastor willing to make a minimum 3-year commitment to work with the Elders to equip the saints for ministry by feeding the flock of God through verse-by verse expository preaching and to reach out to the local community sharing the gospel and building relationships.
Located in Centreville, Maryland, in Queen Anne's County on Maryland's Eastern Shore of the Chesapeake Bay, Grace Fellowship grew out of a Bible Study. The first worship service was held in 2008.
Centreville is a semi-rural, but growing community. Currently the church meets in rented commercial space.
Although independent, Grace Fellowship is theologically aligned with Grace Community Church, Sun Valley, CA
Grace Fellowship Church seeks to glorify God (Ephesians 3:21) by:
Building up the body in the faith (Ephesians 4:13-16), by instruction of the Word (2 Timothy 2:2, 15; 3:16-17), by fellowship (Acts 2:47; 1 John 1:3), and by keeping the ordinances (Luke 22:19; Acts 2:38-42) and;
Advancing and communicating the gospel to the local community and the world (Matthew 28:19; Acts 1:8; 2:42).
