Job Description:
POSITION: Lead Pastor
Position Purpose: The Lead Pastor is to provide spiritual and pastoral leadership to the membership of Harvest Community Church. The Lead Pastor will serve as the chief overseer of the congregation so that it might fulfill its mission and purpose as the body of Christ. The Lead Pastor will preach, teach, and administer the Sacraments and give primary leadership in the ministries of Worship, Buildings, Teaching and Outreach.
Supervision: The Lead Pastor serves under the supervision of the Sesson.
Responsibilities: Subject to review and adjustment in conjunction with the Sesson, the following constitute the major responsibilities of the Lead Pastor:

Description of Organization
Small congregation that was started with the present pastor in the Reformed Church in America from scratch. It grew to about 165 in attendance but then with the building of several large Mega Churches, along with trying to start a second congregation and staff difficulties, the church has dwindled down in numbers. Also, four years ago, it began a process of leaving the RCA due to several social issue of same sex marriage and couples in which the denomination was moving toward acceptance , the church took a stand and decided to leave the RCA. It became part of the Bible Presbyterian Church denomination. It has been three years since they left and now they want to move forward with someone who has new insights and passion to reach the community for Christ and grow disciples for His kingdom.
