The Opportunity

We are seeking a Pastor to guide our culturally diverse congregation through a season of revitalization. This leader will strengthen our preaching and discipleship while expanding our outreach to youth and families in the Lafayette Contra Costa Bay Area.

Key Responsibilities

Spirit Lead: Someone who leads and sensitive under the leadership/ guidance of the Holy Spirit.

● Biblical Preaching: Deliver biblically faithful, culturally aware sermons that motivate the church to action.

● Revitalization & Vision: Lead rebranding efforts and build strategic community partnerships, particularly with the neighboring high school.

● Discipleship: Equip staff and volunteers to implement a clear, churchwide discipleship pathway.

● Community Presence: Expand outreach aligned with local demographics to foster a welcoming, diverse culture.

Qualifications

● Theology: Evangelical, orthodox, and gospel-centered; in alignment with the current Baptist Faith and Message (Southern Baptist background preferred); committed to Scripture, prayer, discipleship, and mission.

● Experience: Minimum 3 years of pastoral ministry with proven strengths in leadership, preaching and discipleship.

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Theology or a related field required; advanced training preferred.

● Character: A servant leader (age 30+) marked by humility, integrity, patience, and emotional maturity; faith demonstrated through action.

● Competency: Excellent preacher and communicator across generations and cultures. proven ability to lead change and cast vision. Ability to connect with teenagers and young families and a passion for "next-gen" ministry.
