GENERAL DESCRIPTIONThe Pastor of Outreach & Care (POC) will help First Baptist fulfill our mission of making disciples of Jesus through two primary areas—Outreach and Congregational Care. The breakdown of these positions are approximately 70% Outreach & 30% Congregational Care.

RESPONSIBILITIES & EXPECTATIONS

Outreach

• Develop mission partnerships locally, globally, nationally
• Plan annual mission trips
• Oversee current ministries such as our Oakley Ministry Center & The Jesus Tent at Bonnaroo
• Oversee the Welcome Team & guest experience
• Oversee the Guest-Follow Process
• Work with relevant staff for church-wide outreach initiatives

Congregational Care

• Oversee pastoral care systems including hospital visits, benevolence, counseling referrals, crisis response.
• Lead the Starting Point Class New Members Class
• Oversee Compassion & Counseling ministries (grief care, benevolence)
• Oversee the Deacon Family Ministry

Other|

• Attend one of our three worship services weekly
• Work as part of a ministry team under the supervision of the Lead Pastor
• All other duties as assigned

Salary: 65,000+ & Benefits
