Gilead Baptist Church is located in historic Glendale, KY, a town of 2300. We have 110-125 attending on a Sunday morning with 15-20 active youth and 15-20 active children. We are a welcoming church who loves our kids and students as well as our community.

Gilead Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking to employ a full-time pastor called to student ministry. The Pastor of Students works under the supervision of the Senior Pastor and is responsible for overseeing the ministry of students and their families in grades 6-12 and the ministry of children ages 4-12 and their families. He is expected to work closely with the Senior Pastor to ensure the Student Ministry fits in the overall mission of equipping students to be and make authentic followers of Jesus Christ.

Qualifications:

Must be a believer in Jesus Christ with a consistent walk with God.

Must be a man who fits the qualifications of 1 Timothy 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9.

Must be a graduate or a senior in college preparing for graduation and may have a desire for higher education.

Must show enjoyment and a dedication in working with students.

Requirements:

Actively lead in planning and coordinating specific age/group activities for kids and students and programs appropriate for spiritual growth, including Sunday and Wednesday groups, teaching times, and specific events (camps, retreats, VBS, partnering with other churches). A desire to connect with students and kids outside of church activities and making connections with them (i.e. games, visits to homes, community life). Enlist and train volunteer leaders to assist in the ministry to children and students. Be prepared to fill the pulpit when asked by the Senior Pastor.
