The Family Pastor at New Day Church is responsible for leading, developing, and discipling families from birth through high school. This role provides vision, leadership, and spiritual guidance to children, students, and their families, partnering with parents to help the next generation know and follow Jesus.
This postition can also be considered a Residency position to learn and grow under our Pastor. New Day Church is 8 years old and we meet in our Community Center.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vision & LeadershipChampion the vision and mission of New Day Church within all family ministriesDevelop and implement a cohesive strategy for kids, students, and familiesBuild a culture that is welcoming, engaging, and spiritually impactful
2. Children's Ministry (Birth–5th Grade)Oversee all aspects of children's ministry, including programming and curriculumRecruit, train, and support volunteer leadersEnsure a safe, fun, and Christ-centered environment
3. Family DiscipleshipEquip and encourage parents to be the primary spiritual leaders in their homesProvide resources, classes, and events that strengthen familiesFoster strong communication between church and home
4. Volunteer DevelopmentRecruit, train, and care for a growing team of volunteersEmpower leaders to use their gifts effectivelyCreate a culture of encouragement, unity, and excellence
5. Pastoral Care & Church InvolvementProvide pastoral care for families as neededParticipate in church-wide events, services, and leadership meetingsCollaborate with other ministry leaders to create a unified church experience
Qualifications:
A growing, personal relationship with Jesus ChristA clear calling to family ministryExperience in children's, student, or family ministry leadershipStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to recruit, train, and lead teams effectivelyPassion for discipling the next generation and supporting families
Preferred Qualifications:Degree in ministry, theology, or a related field preferredStrong relational and teaching abilities
