The Pastor We Are Seeking:
Zion's Stone is seeking a pastor who will love the Lord, love the church, and lead with humility, courage, and Biblical knowledge and faithfulness. We desire a pastor who is conservative in theology and practice, faithful to Scripture, and able to preach the Gospel in a way that calls people to faith, repentance, discipleship, and service.
The ideal pastor will honor the congregation's long history while helping Zion's Stone reach the next generation. We have a strong desire to reach young families, singles, children, and those who have drifted away from church life, while continuing to care well for longtime members and seniors.
Congregational Leadership:
Zion's Stone is served by a Consistory consisting of 4 elders and 8 deacons and committed leaders who give their time and talents to the life of the church. Both men and women serve in all leadership positions. We are grateful for the members who keep the ministry of Zion's Stone moving forward through worship, teaching, property care, administration, outreach, and fellowship. We desire a pastor who can encourage and equip these leaders while helping new members discover their gifts for service.

- A clear emphasis on salvation, prayer, discipleship, and Christian living.
- A heart for pastoral care, visitation, encouragement, and shepherding.
- Respect for traditional worship, church history, and the congregation's conservative character.
- An ability to connect with children, youth, young families, adults, and seniors.
- A willingness to work with congregation leaders, elders, and the Consistory as well as other local denominations.
- A steady, gracious leadership style that promotes unity, accountability, and spiritual growth.

Zion's Stone Church, located at 51 Church Road in the historic Kreidersville area of Northampton, Pennsylvania, is a long-standing congregation serving Northampton and the greater Lehigh Valley. Located in a peaceful country setting just outside downtown Northampton, Zion's Stone Church has remained a faithful Christian presence in the community for more than 250 years.
Our congregation is conservative in nature and desires a pastor who is Biblically grounded, Christ-centered, prayerful, and committed to preaching and teaching the Word of God with clarity and conviction. We seek to lift up our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, proclaim the hope of salvation, and encourage faithful Christian living in the home, church, and community.
History:
Zion's Stone Church traces its roots to the early settlers of the Kreidersville area. The church's beginnings reach back to the 1770s, when Lutheran and Reformed Christians joined together to build a house of worship. The present stone church building, from which the congregation takes its name, has stood as a visible testimony of faith, perseverance, and community for generations.
The church is surrounded by the quiet beauty of rural Northampton County while remaining close to Northampton, Bath, Nazareth, and the wider Lehigh Valley. This location gives Zion's Stone Church a unique opportunity to preserve the warmth of a country church, while reaching families, children, and seniors throughout a growing region.
Worship and Faith:
Zion's Stone values meaningful worship that honors God, teaches Scripture, and strengthens the congregation for service. Our worship life reflects our historic Christian Reformed roots while remaining accessible to the people God brings through our doors. We value preaching that is Biblical, practical, and centered on Jesus Christ. Christian education is an important part of our church life. Sunday worship typically begins at 10:15a.m., and we have a small group of children who attend Sunday School throughout the year. Music is also an important expression of faith at Zion's Stone. The church has its own organist and sings from various hymnals.
Ministry/Outreach:
Zion's Stone is a congregation that believes faith should be lived beyond the walls of the church. Although we are a historic congregation, we do not view our ministry as limited to the past. We desire to be faithful in the present and useful to God in the future. Our members support mission programs and outreach locally, nationally, and have even gone on international mission trips in the past. Local outreach has included support for the Northampton Area Food Bank, New Bethany Ministries, Bright Hope Pregnancy Support Center, the Bethlehem Emergency Shelter, and assistance to those in need within the local community. The church continues to encourage opportunities for members to serve as the helping hands of God in the community.
The congregation is also active in church events, fundraisers, fellowship opportunities, Sunday School programs, and special services that bring the church family together and welcome the surrounding community.
