The Redeemer Apprenticeship for Ministry Program (RAMP) is a one-year apprenticeship program in New York City for Christian college students or recent graduates who want to discern if church-based ministry is their vocation. RAMP is a collaboration between Redeemer Downtown, Redeemer Lincoln Square, and Redeemer West Side, in partnership with Redeemer City to City, which consists of coursework, character and spiritual formation, Gospel application, and first-hand ministry experience, all within an urban context.

Position Overview
The Pastoral Apprentice position within the RAMP program offers immersive experience serving alongside pastoral staff to learn and practice pastoral care, discipleship, gospel proclamation, and shepherding the Redeemer community. This role is ideal for a Christian college student or recent graduate exploring pastoral ministry as a vocational calling.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pastoral staff in discipleship, Bible teaching, small groups, and community engagement.
- Assist with pastoral care efforts including hospital visits, counseling support (under supervision), prayer ministry, and follow‑up with members.
- Participate in sermon preparation discussions, teaching opportunities, and pastoral meetings.
- Engage in outreach, evangelism, and community events alongside pastoral leaders.
- Attend RAMP coursework, cohort discussions, and receive coaching from senior pastors.
Qualifications
- Strong personal faith in Jesus Christ with growing theological understanding.
- At least a rising junior or senior in college, or recent graduate, recommended by your church.
- Willingness to commit to 20 hours/week for ministry, learning, and formation.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and servant‑leadership traits.
