Trinity Baptist Church of Franklin, TN is seeking a church planting pastor who will serve the serve Trinity's current congregation with the intention of leading a church plant out of Trinity within two years. After a period of assimilation, the church planting pastor will lead a separate service with the intention of it becoming an autonomous church sent out of Trinity to a strategic location (Columbia, Spring Hill, or Thompson Station). With the support of Trinity's existing elders, the pastor will lead through the stages of the church planting process by sharpening the vision, developing the core pastoral and support team, and embedding themselves in the target community.

Qualifications

1. The biblical requirements of 1 Timothy 3 & Titus 1
2. Pastoral experience (Preferably 3+ years)
3. Skilled in preaching, discipleship, shepherding, and evangelism
4. Adherence to Trinity's theological distinctives (The doctrines of grace, complementarianism,

   Baptist ecclesiology, plurality of elders, etc.)

5. Ability to work with a team
6. Self-disciplined

Responsibilities

1. To assist in Trinity's missions of making disciple-making disciples
2. To assemble a core team from Trinity's members for the church plant
3. To model and encourage personal evangelism
4. To model and encourage hospitality
5. To maintain regular office hours
6. To preach regularly

Compensation

• Annual Salary based on experience ($80k-$100k+).
• Vacation starts at twenty days and could be as high as twenty-five days based on experience.

Trinity is a Baptist church in the growing community of Franklin, TN. Our mission is to make disciple- making-disciples of neighbors and nations for the glory of King Jesus. The church is elder-led and congregationally-ruled. It has been shaped by the importance of expositional preaching, meaningful church membership, and the doctrines of grace. Through years of steady growth, the auditorium + overflow room, parking lot, and classrooms are now full. Several families are coming from the south due to the cost of living in Franklin. Trinity desires to continue multiplying disciples by planting a church in a suburban community where many of our southern members live.
