Job Overview
We are seeking a man who will serve in residency among the elder/pastoral team. This is an opportunity to be mentored and prepared for solo pastoral ministry in a local church, supported by Bethany Chapel. Ideally, the candidate will be a recent or nearly completed Mdiv graduate with a desire to minister within a New England church revitalization or plant from our church. The term of the residency will depend on the candidate, but is expected to be one to two years. The end goal is ordination, calling to our pastoral team and sending out to lead a local church in our general area. Our church is diverse with a major focus on ministry to those who are homeless, addicted, being trafficked, with mental illness or in poverty.
Job Description
The Resident Pastor will serve alongside the pastoral/elder team and will perform the following functions:
Preaching
Teaching
Pastoral Care
Outreach Ministry
Participate in Elder and Congregational Meetings
Regularly participate in the life of the body of Christ
