The Big Picture
Bark River Bible Church (https://barkriverbiblechurch.com) is seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to shepherd a multi-generational congregation averaging just over 200 in weekly attendance. The Senior Pastor's responsibilities include preaching, teaching, discipleship, and pastoral care (counseling, visitation, funerals, weddings, etc.).
Job Profile
Full time
Deliver biblically sound, gospel-focused sermons that challenge, equip, and encourage the local body in their walk with Christ
Lead by example in spiritual disciplines and model Christ-like character
Shepherd the congregation through pastoral care, counseling, visitation, and prayer support
Conduct weddings and funerals
Develop and implement strategies for effective ministry growth, outreach, and discipleship
Work alongside church leadership to ensure healthy church governance, unity, and effective ministry operation
Qualifications
A degree from a Bible college or seminary is preferred
Experience in preaching, teaching, and pastoral care is preferred
A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a growing personal relationship with Him
A heart for discipleship, growth, and community engagement
Sound understanding of Scripture and its doctrines
Exceptional communication and preaching skills
Proven leadership ability in a church or similar setting
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups of people
Ability to navigate and resolve conflict in a Biblical manner with grace and wisdom
