The senior Pastor carries the primary leadership responsibility for preaching, teaching, providing vision, and the spiritual nurture of the congregation. The pastor has the greatest authority and the most direct interaction with the entire congregation.
Required to be on site each Sunday, starting at 7:30 AM – 11:00 AM, preaching the Sunday morning service from 8:00 – 9:00 AM, and leading other church-related activities. Lead the midweek prayer Bible study. Chair the Leadership Council—moderate the church business meetings.
Providing administrative leadership in visitation programs, counseling sessions, supervising the church staff, ceremonies, and services.
Qualifications: Experience/Certification/Education
Prior experience serving in a leadership role within an established church. Minimum 3 years' experience as a pastor responding to the church's needs and its members. Minimum 5 years' experience in church ministry, such as church staff, i.e., Associate Pastor, etc. Bivocational candidates will be accepted.
Certification: The candidate is to be licensed.
Education preferred: AA, BA, BS, BD
Starting Salary: 42, 000.00 Annually
