Calvary Bible Church (CBC) is marked by health, energy, and readiness for more, with many flourishing ministries, particularly among children and youth. Even though their facilities were expanded in 2021, continued growth has caused space constraints to be felt – especially during peak ministry hours, such as Wednesday evenings and the Middle Hour on Sunday mornings when adult equipping, connection classes (ECC) are in full swing. CBC's reputation for deep biblical teaching is a key draw for those who make CBC their church home, so it is important that the Senior Pastor loves to teach and is a talented biblical communicator with a preference for an expository, verse-by-verse approach. Congregants are eager for sermon applications that challenge and encourage them to put their vital faith into action – in service to the church, to their community, and to the world.

Job Description

The Candidate

CBC is seeking an experienced Senior Pastor to step into a growing context and guide its continued development. Visionary and collaborative, he will enjoy working with others to prayerfully craft strategic ministry plans that advance the church with purpose. In preaching, he will combine theological depth with pastoral warmth, equipping and encouraging people to live biblically, courageously, and compassionately in a changing world. He will draw on wisdom from the Holy Spirit and his experience to help Calvary navigate complexity and scale – guiding a large staff team in a growing church with organizational insight. As one who is able to develop other leaders, his empowering and developmental leadership approach will instill trust and confidence in those he serves.

Nestled along the shores of Lake Winnebago, Neenah, Wisconsin, offers a welcoming blend of small-town warmth and metropolitan convenience. Part of the greater Fox Valley region with a population of close to 300,000 people, Neenah is known for friendly neighborhoods, excellent schools, and family-oriented values. The Qualifications

A genuine love for and relationship with Jesus, a deep knowledge of Scripture, and a passion to advance the gospel. Clear alignment with Calvary Bible Church's beliefs, vision, and values. A minimum of a theological master's degree is required from an accredited seminary; a Master of Divinity degree is preferred.

Ideally, 15 years of Lead or Senior Pastor ministry experience with multiple years of staff leadership and oversight. A preference for an Elder-led form of governance is essential.
