Senior Pastor

Job Overview

Chelsea Community Church is seeking a Senior Pastor to serve as the primary spiritual and organizational leader of our congregation. The ideal candidate will be committed to sound doctrine, intentional discipleship, and collaborative leadership. This role includes expository preaching, shepherding, vision casting, and equipping ministry leaders as we continue growing in gospel-centered ministry in the Chelsea community.

Job Description

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary weekly preacher and teacher
• Provide spiritual leadership and vision for the church
• Shepherd and disciple members of the congregation
• Oversee and mentor pastoral staff and ministry leaders
• Collaborate with the Worship Pastor in planning services
• Lead staff meetings and support ministry alignment
• Represent the church in community and ministry settings

Qualifications

• Master of Divinity (or equivalent) preferred
• Minimum 10 years of ministry experience preferred
• Strong biblical preaching and leadership ability
• Licensed and/or ordained to gospel ministry preferred
• Meets biblical qualifications of church leadership (1 Timothy 3:1–7)
• Affirms the doctrine and mission of Chelsea Community Church

Spiritual Expectations

Candidates must demonstrate a clear call to pastoral ministry, spiritual maturity, and a life above reproach consistent with biblical leadership.
