Choteau Baptist Church Pastor Profile Choteau Baptist Church is seeking a man who believes the Holy Spirit has led him to serve as Senior pastor for our congregation. We prefer that the candidate has served in at least an associate pastor position and can demonstrate that they possess Bible knowledge/training that supports that level of leadership. We also prefer that the new pastor can demonstrate that both his spiritual and practical life training has been put into action in support of their fellow believers in their church and community. Community and Fellowship, immersed in Biblical truth, is very important to our church. We require that the person be a student of the Scripture with a desire to bring people to Christ and to lead them into a deeper desire to love and serve Him. We feel this is accomplished by example and desire that our new pastor demonstrate a personal interest in people and the strength to Shepherd them with love and integrity. We feel Scripture is the guide for all relational interactions. Choteau Baptist is a congregational rule fellowship under the leadership of a pastor, five deacons, and a leadership team. We prefer that the applicant be able and willing to work along with the current church leadership and communicate with them to develop and implement strategies to best serve the Kingdom of God as a functional body. The applicant must show a desire for discipleship of his congregation and to equip them to further disciple others. He must show an ability to plug in new members and help them fit and thrive within the church family. Choteau Baptist believes deeply in the traditional Biblical definition of the family unit. Choteau Baptist also values personal family time and would like to see a pastor who can maintain a strong ministry/family balance and model that balance for CBC members. Our location is primarily in a farming and ranching community, and our activities are greatly influenced by the seasons. Our desire is for a pastor who understands and values the farming and ranching life and can embrace the benefits and challenges that this presents to our ministry. We Believe Christ is the basis of our salvation and all moral good. Although each person is ultimately responsible for their personal faith, we seek a Pastor who can serve as a valuable guide to lead our church to a deep understanding of God's purpose for His people and His creation.
