Position Title: Senior Pastor

Church Overview

We are a 106‑year‑old Southern Baptist church with a rich history and a strong legacy of faithfulness. As we honor our past, we are prayerfully seeking a Senior Pastor to lead us into a new season of spiritual growth, renewal, and long‑term impact for future generations.

Position Summary

The Senior Pastor will provide spiritual leadership, vision, and pastoral care to the congregation while guiding the church through a season of revitalization. This role is well suited for a hands‑on, energetic shepherd who is passionate about preaching the Word, building momentum, and investing in families and children. The pastor will work alongside a committed core group eager to see the church flourish.

Key Responsibilities

Proclaim and teach Scripture clearly, faithfully, and effectively through strong, biblically grounded preachingProvide spiritual leadership and pastoral care to the congregationLead the church in a vision for revitalization, growth, and long‑term ministry impactBuild relationships and momentum within the church and surrounding communityInvest in and support young families and childrenDevelop and strengthen a vibrant children's ministryEquip and encourage church members for service and discipleshipCollaborate with church leadership and ministry teams to advance the mission of the church

Qualifications

Seminary training required; Master of Divinity (MDiv) preferredDemonstrated calling and heart for church revitalizationExperience serving as an Associate Pastor and/or Lead Pastor, particularly in a growing or transitional church settingStrong communicator with the ability to connect across generationsRelational, energetic, and hands‑on leadership styleCommitment to long‑term ministry and community impact
