Senior Pastor – First Baptist Church Scottsboro, AL

First Baptist Church, a multigenerational Southern Baptist congregation in Scottsboro, Alabama, is seeking a Spirit-led, biblically grounded Lead Pastor.

This full-time role requires a committed leader who will preach the Word of God, shepherd the congregation, and guide the church in fulfilling its mission to Love God, Love People, and Make Disciples.

Key responsibilities include delivering sound biblical sermons, overseeing pastoral care, offering spiritual counseling, leading vision and ministry efforts, overseeing church operations, and supporting evangelism, disciple-making and missions.

The pastor will work alongside the staff, deacons, and ministry teams, ensuring alignment with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).

Candidates should meet biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership (1 Timothy 3:1–7; Titus 1:5–9), be ordained within the Southern Baptist Convention, and preferably hold a theological degree and five years of ministry experience.

Relocation to Scottsboro is expected.

Compensation will be based on education, experience, and expertise.
