Job Description
Shepherd Staff is honored to be working with Marshall First Christian Church in Marshall, Illinois, as they search for their next Lead Minister. Marshall First Christian Church is an independent Christian Church in the Restoration Movement with a long-standing presence in the community, known for its family-like culture, biblical teaching, and strong commitment to serving people both inside and outside the church. The Lead Minister will serve as the primary spiritual leader and shepherd for the congregation, working collaboratively with the elders and staff to guide the church into a healthy, unified, and mission-focused next chapter.
The ideal candidate will be:
- A humble, relational shepherd who leads with integrity, emotional maturity, and a genuine love for people
- A strong biblical preacher and teacher who is committed to Scripture and Restoration Movement convictions
- A unifier and bridge-builder who can restore trust, strengthen communication, and lead through a season of healing
- A collaborative team leader who partners well with elders and staff rather than leading from a top-down posture
