Job Description:
Full-time senior pastor for 300 member EPC church in Starkville, MS. Responsible for preaching and teaching, pastoring the congregation and managing the staff of 12 (4 full-time and 7 part-time). Associate pastor, youth pastor, college ministry intern, and preschool director are full-time positions. Starkville is home to Mississippi State University, and the FPC Starkville congregation would like to expand its ministry to the campus as well as attract young families.
Position Qualifications:
Qualifications
Expository teaching of the Scriptures and committed to Reformed theology with a real-life application for the congregation, both believers and non-believers
Committed to the Great Commission
Demonstrate a genuine heart for shepherding the congregation with joy, compassion, and attentiveness
Strong in organizational and administrative leadership
Gifted in delegation to staff and congregation
Ordained (or eligible for ordination) in the Evangelical Presbyterian Church, with senior pastor experience, preferred but not required
Master of Divinity required; further education appreciated
