Mount Carmel Baptist Church is prayerfully seeking a full-time Senior Pastor to shepherd our congregation through faithful exposition of Scripture, biblical leadership, and gospel-centered vision.
The RoleThe Senior Pastor serves with full Elder authority and works alongside Elders of the church to provide spiritual, strategic, and operational leadership to the church.
He will:
- Preach the majority of Sunday morning services through expositional, Spirit-led proclamation of God's Word.
- Provide pastoral care and shepherding to the congregation.
- Lead long-term ministry vision and strategy.
- Oversee pastoral and ministry staff.
- Promote unity, discipleship, and outreach.
Doctrinal Alignment
The candidate must affirm:
- Mount Carmel Baptist Church's doctrinal statement and membership covenant
- Southern Baptist theological convictions
- Reformed theology
- Believer's baptism by immersion
- Complementarianism
- A biblical understanding of marriage
Qualifications
- Clearly called and gifted for pastoral ministry
- Committed to expository preaching
- Strong theological foundation
- Proven leadership experience
- Passion for evangelism and discipleship
- Collaborative team leadership style
- Willingness to reside in the Lake City area
