The Senior Pastor serves as the spiritual leader of the church, providing biblical preaching, visionary leadership, pastoral care, and oversight of the church's ministries. This role is responsible for leading the congregation in fulfilling the Great Commission aligning with the Baptist faith and mission while nurturing spiritual growth, unity, and faithfulness to Scripture.

Primary Responsibilities Spiritual Leadership & Preaching Preach and teach the Word of God faithfully and clearly, grounded in Scripture Lead worship services with spiritual depth, reverence, and theological integrity Provide leadership in prayer, discipleship, and spiritual formation Uphold and promote the church's statement of faith, bylaws, constitution and doctrinal beliefs

Pastoral Care Provide pastoral care, counseling, and spiritual guidance to church members Conduct weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other ordinances of the church Visit the sick, elderly, and shut-in as reasonably able Shepherd the congregation with compassion, integrity, and humility

Leadership & Administration Provide vision and direction for the church in cooperation with church leadership Oversee church staff and ministry leaders, encouraging teamwork and accountability. Keeping office hours as required. Work closely with deacons, committees, and ministry teams Lead or participate in church business meetings as required Ensure church ministries align with the mission and vision of the church Outreach & Community Engagement Encourage evangelism and missions locally and globally Represent the church within the local community Foster a welcoming and Christ-centered church culture

Qualifications Spiritual & Personal Qualifications A clear calling from God to pastoral ministry A growing, Christ-like character as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9 Strong prayer life and commitment to personal spiritual growth

Education & Experience Ordained or eligible for ordination Formal theological training (seminary or equivalent preferred) Previous pastoral or ministry leadership experience preferred

Skills & Abilities Strong communication and preaching skills Ability to lead with wisdom, humility, and biblical discernment Relational, approachable, and compassionate Organizational and administrative competence

Accountability The Senior Pastor is accountable to the church congregation and its governing body (such as the deacons or church councils), in accordance with church bylaws and constitution.
