We are committed to glorifying God and proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. For more than fifty years, God has faithfully used our church to make disciples and impact our community. With the retirement of our present pastor, we prayerfully seek the man God has prepared to become our next Senior Pastor — a shepherd who will faithfully preach God's Word, lead with humility and equip North Main Baptist Church to fulfill the Great Commission.
"Loving God and Loving Others" is our mission statement based on the Great Commandment given to us by our Lord. (Matthew 22:37-40)
We want to grow every day in understanding what it means to follow Jesus and shape our lives according to the Gospel. As a church family, we are called to encourage one another in the Lord. We also understand that Christ's call to make disciples extends beyond the walls of our church campus into the community around us and out to the world.
As a Southern Baptist Church, we are members of the Southern Baptist Convention and Southern Baptist Conservatives of Virginia. Our core beliefs can be found in the Baptist Faith and Message.
