Park Forest Baptist Church in State College, Pennsylvania, is prayerfully seeking a Christ-centered, Spirit-led Senior Pastor who is called to shepherd our congregation, faithfully teach God's Word through expository preaching, and provide visionary leadership for the church's ministry and mission. We seek a faithful shepherd who will guard our congregation against false teaching through sound, biblical doctrine and the faithful proclamation of God's Word.
We also desire a mentor who will equip and disciple our staff, ministry leaders, and church members, empowering them to grow in their faith and make disciples of others. In addition, we seek a visionary leader who will guide our church in pursuing ministry opportunities that effectively advance the Gospel, foster spiritual growth, and fulfill Christ's command to make disciples.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will:
- Demonstrate a clear personal faith in Jesus Christ and a call to pastoral ministry.
- Hold firmly to the authority and truth of Scripture.
- Be an effective expository preacher and teacher of God's Word.
- Possess strong leadership, pastoral care, and interpersonal skills.
- Have relevant experience in church ministry, discipleship, and leadership development.
- Be committed to evangelism, missions, and community engagement.
- Meet the biblical qualifications for pastoral leadership as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–9.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Pastor will:
- Provide spiritual leadership to the congregation.
- Preach and teach biblically sound, Christ-centered messages.
- Lead and equip members for ministry and discipleship.
- Provide pastoral care, counseling, and visitation.
- Work collaboratively with church leaders, staff, and ministry teams.
- Help develop and implement the church's vision and strategic direction.
- Be prepared to humbly reprove, rebuke, and correct when necessary.
