The Senior Pastor will lead Providence Baptist Church in accordance with biblical principles, providing spiritual direction, pastoral care, and administrative oversight. The ideal candidate will be a Christ-centered preacher and teacher who equips the church to grow in faith and service.

Qualifications: Meets the biblical qualifications of pastor/elder as outlined in 1 Timothy 3:1–7 and Titus 1:5–10. Beliefs consistent with the Providence Baptist Church Articles of Faith and the 2000 Baptist Faith and Message. Formal education in Bible and theology is preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who possess a minimum of three (3) years of pastoral ministry experience, including preaching and staff leadership. Ordained minister with a strong personal faith, clear testimony, and consistent prayer life.

Responsibilities: Prepare and deliver Christ-centered, Bible-based sermons weekly. Lead midweek Bible studies and prayer meetings. Provide spiritual oversight of all church ministries and staff. Shepherd and care for the congregation through visitation, counseling, and prayer. Equip and encourage ministry leaders and lay teams for service. Collaborate with deacons and lay leadership in meeting the spiritual and administrative needs of the church. Participate in the Chipola Baptist Association and Florida Baptist Convention.

Personal Qualities: Strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills. Heart for pastoral care and discipleship across all ages. Ability to lead with humility, integrity, and wisdom.
