Solo Pastor
Job Overview
Our pastor of seven years will be retiring at the end of May, leaving us seeking our next shepherd/pastor. We are one of only two Waldensian congregations in the United States who can trace our roots back to the late 1100's and the Waldensian movement which eventually merged with the Reformed churches in the 1600's. In June 2025, we celebrated our 150th year of ministry in Monett, MO. In its early years, the congregation proved to be contributing members of the Monett community. In fact, the first mayor of Monett was a member of the Waldensian congregation.
The church has seen steady growth the past 5 years in both membership and attendance. We feel, however, that we possess the potential and resources for real growth beyond just numerical. The church, manse, and cemetery are situated on 40 acres originally gifted by the railroad to the initial settlers. And thanks to the extreme generosity of the members through the years, the church operates debt-free and has a sizable surplus to move forward doing God's work. Approximately 15% of our annual budget is given to support missions, both local and global. Our worship is more traditional in order and style.
