Student Minister

• About the Student Ministry:
  • First Baptist Church of Lewisburg is seeking a part-time Student Minister to lead, disciple, and develop our Middle and High School students (6th–12th grade). Our student ministry is in an exciting season of growth, fueled by a thriving children's ministry that continually "graduates" more kids into the student ministry. Additionally, we are actively engaging about 15 students from our local community who are not otherwise connected to a church. We are looking for a leader with a passion for building a connected, Christ-centered community where young people can grow closer to Jesus.

• Responsibilities:
  • Lead discipleship opportunities on Sunday morning and Wednesday evening.
  • Find ways to connect with students throughout the week – whether that means attending sporting events, hosting extra activities, or offering resources and connection points for deeper discipleship.
  • Partner with parents and the entire church through good communication, planning, and vision casting.
  • Serve joyfully alongside our Pastor and church staff to align student ministry with the overall vision of FBC.

  • Meets the Biblical qualifications for church leadership
  • Affirms the Baptist Faith & Message 2000
  • A vibrant, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a clear calling to ministry
  • Possesses fresh, creative ideas for community building and outreach.
• Future Vision:
  • While this position is currently part-time, our strategic goal is to find a candidate who is eager to grow with us. We are looking for a leader who can see this ministry through until it expands into a full-time Families / Next Gen Pastor role, eventually overseeing our comprehensive ministry to kids, students, and parents.

  • Lewisburg is the county seat for Marshall County, TN.
  • We are about 35 minutes south of Franklin, 55 minutes south of Nashville, and about 55 minutes north of Huntsville, AL.
  • Lewisburg, Marshall County, and First Baptist Church are all experiencing a great deal of growth. At FBC, we anticipate that growth will continue for the foreseeable future.
• Time Commitment: Part-Time (Approx. 20 hours/week)
