Purpose
The Student Ministries Program Facilitator serves alongside the Student Ministries Director in the discipleship and care of Old Cutler Presbyterian Church's ministry to 6th–12th grade students. This role supports the vision, leadership, and ministry direction established by the Student Ministries Director and the Session of OCPC, with particular attention given to mentoring and discipling students, especially young women.
The Student Ministries Program Facilitator plays an important role in the spiritual nurture of students by cultivating relationships, supporting ministry programming, assisting with discipleship efforts, and helping foster a Christ-centered ministry culture.
Status
Full-time position requiring participation in regular evening and weekend ministry activities, events, retreats, and meetings.
Reports To: Student Ministries Director Works Closely With: Student Ministries Volunteers, Parents, OCPC Staff, and Church Leadership
Responsibilities
Discipleship and Student Care
Cultivate meaningful relationships with students through mentoring, encouragement, prayer, fellowship, and discipleship, with intentional investment in the care and encouragement of young women. Serve as a mature Christian example through godly conduct, relational warmth, and spiritual care.
Teaching and Ministry Participation
Assist in teaching and discipling students in large-group, small-group, and relational settings under the oversight of the Student Ministries Director and church leadership. Participate faithfully in weekly ministry gatherings, retreats, camps, mission trips, outreach opportunities, and special events.
Outreach and Relationship Building
Participate in outreach and relationship-building opportunities with students both within and beyond the church, including school visits, extracurricular events, and campus outreach efforts as appropriate.
Ministry Support and Coordination
Assist with the planning, coordination, and execution of ministry programs and events, including volunteer coordination, communication, administrative support, scheduling, and other ministry tasks as needed. Meet regularly with the Student Ministries Director to coordinate ministry responsibilities and ensure alignment with the vision and leadership of OCPC Student Ministries.
Philosophy of the Role
The Student Ministries Program Facilitator fulfills an important and valued ministry role within the life of Old Cutler Presbyterian Church. This position is intended to complement and support the leadership, direction, and oversight entrusted by the Session to the Student Ministries Director while exercising meaningful discipleship ministry among students through relational investment, spiritual encouragement, teaching support, and faithful service to Christ and His church.

Position Qualifications:
- A woman whose relationship with Christ is marked by spiritual maturity, humility, teachability, faithfulness, and the fruit of the Spirit.
- Commitment to the theological convictions and ministry philosophy of Old Cutler Presbyterian Church. This includes subscription to the Westminster standards.
- Love for middle and high school students and a desire to see them grow in Christ.
- Ability to build healthy relationships with students, parents, volunteers, and staff.
- 3-4 years of youth ministry or relevant experience with students or relevant bachelor's degree
