FBC Student's Pastor Role

Qualifications: He must be a born-again, baptized believer who feels called to pastoral ministry. He must meet and continue to actively pursue the qualifications of 1 Tim. 3:1-7 and Titus 1:5-9. Continuing to grow in the faith, discipling other believers, and evangelizing the lost. Must affirm the BFM2000 and affirm FBC Belmont's Church Covenant.

Job Description: The Student Pastor at FBC Belmont will seek to facilitate Student Ministry that is built around the core values and distinctives of FBC Belmont: Truth – Together -Transformation. The Student Pastor is responsible for shepherding the families with students at FBC Belmont. He will work with parents/guardians to disciple students in the faith. The Student Pastor oversees the teaching ministries of FBC Students, alongside the Senior Pastor. Though this position is concentrated in Student Ministry, it is the expectation of this position to care and connect with all FBC Belmont's Members, and to be a thriving part of our local body. This position is roughly 15-18 per week.

Responsibilities:– Responsible for Preaching and/or Scheduling Preaching for Midweek Student Services– Plan and carryout Midweek Services– Teach Student's Sunday School– Help Facilitate Break Out Groups during Midweek– Cultivate an Environment for students to Belong and Grow in Christ. – Disciple Students and Equip Student Leaders– Recruit and Invest in Student Volunteers– Oversee and Manage the Student Min. Budget – Plan Building Community Nights, Church Camp, Outreach Events, Local Evangelism

Vision: Part of the Student Pastor position is to critically and strategically plan entry into our school system; Belmont School System is approx. 1/2 mile from FBC. Along with the Senior Pastor, the Student Pastor will seek avenues to serve and care for our school system as they are in our very own neighborhood.
