Full-Time Preschool Director Russell Baptist Church – Green Cove Springs, FL

Russell Baptist Church (RBC) is a growing, Christ-centered congregation located in the rapidly developing Lake Asbury community of Clay County, Florida. With new neighborhoods and young families moving in every year, RBC is preparing to launch a full-time, weekday preschool in Fall 2026 to serve our church families and community with Christ-centered early childhood education. We are seeking an experienced Preschool Director to provide spiritual leadership, administrative oversight, and educational excellence for this ministry.

Position Overview

The Preschool Director is a full-time leadership role responsible for the overall vision, administration, and daily operation of Russell Baptist Preschool. This includes supervising staff, developing curriculum, maintaining compliance with state licensing, fostering strong communication with parents, and ensuring the preschool reflects the mission and values of Russell Baptist Church. The Director will report directly to the Lead Pastor and will collaborate with the Children's Director, Student Pastor, and other ministry leaders as part of the RBC team.

Qualifications

• A clear and growing Christian testimony with a demonstrated commitment to Jesus Christ.

• Willingness to become a member of Russell Baptist Church and affirm the church's statement of faith and doctrinal beliefs.

• Must already hold a Florida Director Credential with all 40 hours of DCF-required training completed.

• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field (preferred).

• Minimum of three years' experience in preschool administration or early childhood education leadership.

• Knowledge of Florida state licensing standards and DCF requirements for childcare facilities. • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.• Ability to recruit, train, and mentor staff in both professional and spiritual growth.• Passion for reaching families and supporting the mission of the local church.

Primary Responsibilities• Leadership & Vision – Establish and communicate a clear vision for a Christ-centered preschool ministry.

• Administration – Manage budgets, enrollment, scheduling, policies, and record-keeping in compliance with state regulations.

• Staff Oversight – Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate teachers and support staff; lead staff meetings and promote a positive team culture. At opening, the Director will be responsible for hiring and leading approximately 8–10 teachers and assistants, with the opportunity to expand the team as enrollment grows.

• Curriculum & Instruction – Oversee curriculum selection and implementation with biblical integration.

• Family Engagement – Build relationships with parents and provide regular communication.

• Church Integration – Collaborate with RBC leadership to connect preschool families with the larger ministry of the church.

• Safety & Compliance – Ensure all policies, licensing requirements, and safety procedures are followed.
