As a local church, Chelten exists to worship the triune God, to nurture his family, and to share his gospel of hope. That mission is fueled by our Sunday services that direct our hearts and attention to God and various Chelten ministries throughout the week. Chelten's women ministry is one avenue by which the love of Christ is expressed and felt by so many. This important position serves a vitally important role of equipping the women of our congregation in the spirit of Titus 2.

Chelten, a church of hope is looking to hire a Women's Ministry Shepherding Director to effectively implement and maintain the ministry for women at Chelten, in harmony with its mission statement. The Director will lead, mentor and be actively involved in ministries to women at Chelten and in the community.

Job Description

Principal Job Activities:

Areas of ministry may include, but are not limited to: 1. Facilitate AM and PM Women's Bible Studies a. Recruit leaders and nurturers, including leaders for women's bible study. b. Equip and train leaders c. Document and promote the Bible Studies with details regarding each option. 2. Develop Programs and Events a. Organize, schedule and oversee programs and events for women offered throughout the year (such as Christmas Outreach and Women's Retreat) b. Lead the women's ministry team to cast vision and delegate responsibilities c. Provide leadership development for leaders and nurturers for all Bible Studies d. Create a vision for the future in accord with Chelten's mission statement 3. Care for the Women a. Nurture the leaders b. Be aware of new women and the needs of those who are sick or who need help c. Pray for the women, leaders, program processes, and future direction d. Coordinate mentoring relationships e. Participate in the Women's Advocacy Team 4. Partner with Women's Ministry Administrative Director in collaboration with Chelten's Pastoral Leadership Team 5. Manage Women's ministry budget 6. Meet regularly with church leaders and staff
