Yellow Leaf Baptist Church is seeking a full-time Worship and Education Pastor who will provide leadership in both our Worship and Discipleship ministries. The ideal candidate will be a biblically grounded, musically skilled, and relational leader who has a passion for leading God's people in Christ-centered worship and spiritual growth. This role combines two key ministry areas:

Worship Leadership – guiding the congregation in modern blended worship that honors both contemporary expressions and the heritage of the church.

Education Ministry – overseeing discipleship programs for all ages, ensuring that biblical teaching and gospel-centered community remain central in every ministry.

Primary Responsibilities:

Worship Ministry

• Lead and plan Sunday morning worship services in a modern blended style .
• Recruit, train, and shepherd worship team members (musicians, vocalists, tech team).
• Coordinate and lead rehearsals, ensuring musical and spiritual preparation.
• Oversee worship technology, including sound, media, and livestream.
• Collaborate with the Senior Pastor in worship planning to align with sermon themes.
• Encourage a culture of authentic worship and congregational participation.

Education Ministry

• Oversee Life Groups, Sunday School, and Children's Ministry discipleship programs.
• Recruit, train, and equip volunteer teachers and leaders for all age groups. Identify and implement biblically sound and age-appropriate curriculum for adults, youth, and children.
• Develop a unified discipleship pathway for the church.
• Support parents as primary disciple-makers in their homes.
• Ensure all education ministries align with the church's mission and doctrinal statement.

Qualifications

• A clear testimony of faith in Jesus Christ and a call to ministry.
• Agreement with the Baptist Faith and Message (2000).
• Bachelor's degree/seminary training preferred (or willingness to pursue).
• Strong musical and vocal ability; proficiency with guitar preferred.
• Proven ability to lead worship and develop a team environment.
• Experience in church education, discipleship, or Christian education preferred.
• Strong organizational, relational, and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple areas of ministry with humility, flexibility, and vision.

Compensation Salary commensurate with experience and education.
