About the Role
First Baptist Church Leesburg is seeking a Worship Pastor to lead and shape worship at our Village Park Campus, located on the edge of The Villages in Fruitland Park, FL.
This is a primary worship leadership role with a secondary responsibility of providing pastoral oversight and coordination for Family Ministries (children, youth, young adults, and families). Approximately 75% of this role is focused on worship leadership, with 25% dedicated to ensuring Family Ministries are aligned, organized, and effective.
You'll work closely with the Senior Worship Pastor, collaborate with a team of worship leaders across all four campuses (Downtown, South, Oxford, and Village Park), and partner with the Village Park Campus Pastor to carry out the vision of the campus.
We're looking for someone who is spiritually grounded, musically strong, relationally engaging, and passionate about leading people to worship and helping families grow in their faith.
What You'll Do
Lead Worship (Primary Focus)
Plan and lead engaging, Christ-centered worship services each week Lead across multiple styles: hymns, gospel, and modern worship Create environments that encourage active congregational participation Lead from an instrument (guitar or keys preferred) Build and Lead Teams
Recruit, develop, and shepherd worship and production volunteers Lead and develop the campus choir (rehearsals and services) Cultivate a healthy, spiritually vibrant team culture Collaborate Across Campuses
Work under the direction of the Senior Worship Pastor Collaborate with worship leaders across all FBCL campuses Align worship with teaching and overall church vision
Provide Oversight of Family Ministries (Secondary – ~25%)
Provide pastoral oversight and coordination for Family Ministries, including preschool, children, youth, young adults, and families Develop, organize, and help administrate a comprehensive Family Ministry strategy for the campus Work closely with leaders (Children's Director, Preschool Director, Youth leaders, and others) to ensure effective programming and biblical instruction Collaborate with other FBCL campuses to ensure consistency and quality across Family Ministries Recruit, train, and support volunteers and ministry leaders; help establish clear policies and procedures Supervise and help administrate all Family Ministry environments to ensure alignment and effectiveness Encourage and equip parents to be the primary disciplers of their children, providing support and resources as needed Plan and coordinate ministry activities such as retreats, camps, fellowships, mission trips, and outreach events Partner with church staff to provide training and development opportunities for ministry leaders and volunteers Engage in outreach opportunities including recreation, counseling, and evangelism to families in the community Perform other duties as assigned by the Campus Pastor

Build meaningful relationships with congregation members and volunteers Inspire and encourage spiritual growth and engagement in worship Provide pastoral care and leadership to both worship teams and Family Ministry leaders
