Worship Director
The Worship Director is responsible for planning, preparing for, and participating in both Traditional and Contemporary music services (through leading, accompanying, practicing, etc.). The goal of this position is to lead the congregation, and/or event(s), in authentic worship whereby the heart is prepared to hear message of the Gospel and encouraged in Christ.
Responsibilities:1.Cultivate a Christ-centered lifestyle that includes regular quiet time with Christ, memorization of God's word, Bible study, sharing the gospel, and modeling the fruits of the Spirit.2.Maintain a healthy spiritual walk with Christ and lead your teams do likewise.3.Balance your time between the Traditional and the Contemporary teams to help them grow in their music performance: vocals, instruments, and the incorporation new music per their genre.4.If possible, as bi-vocational Director, attend staff meetings (2 hours) with insight and feedback to help the church grow and provide updates regarding worship as it pertains to the staff.5.Meet with Pastor on a weekly basis (1 hour) for accountability, fellowship and planning.6.Provide feedback to Sound booth Team and help them grow in quality sound production.7.Manage all administrative duties related to the Contemporary and Traditional teams (i.e. scheduling, training, etc.).8.Select, teach and execute all praise and worship music for Contemporary service.9.Select, teach, and execute all praise and hymnal music for Traditional service.10.If possible, be available for funerals and special events as needed.11.Develop weekly orders of service for Traditional and Contemporary services.12.Input all songs into church software for Sunday services.13.Ensure that the platform is cleaned, presentable and functional for services.14.Recruit and/or develop new musicians and singers.15.Build relationship between both Contemporary and Traditional music teams.16.Collaborate with Lead Pastor regarding music for special events (Easter and Christmas).17.Collaborate with Lead Pastor regarding yearly budget for the worship service(s) and follow the financial guidelines for purchases.18.When absent, make sure your coverage is aligned with overall church vision.19.Build relationships with church members, new attendees, and community.20.Work under the guidance of the Lead pastor.21.Protect the Vision and Core Values of the Church.22.All other duties assigned.
