The Worship Leader serves under the leadership of the Senior Pastor and provides vision, planning, and leadership for all aspects of the church's music and worship ministry. This individual will help ensure that worship services align with the mission of Farmville Baptist Church: to exalt Jesus, encourage our family of faith, and engage a broken world.

Qualifications

• A degree in music, worship leadership, or a related field or equivalent experience leading worship in a church setting.
• A born-again believer who demonstrates strong Christian character and affirms the Baptist Faith and Message (2000) adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to relate well to people of all ages.
• A clear passion for worship ministry, with creativity and openness to innovation while remaining theologically grounded.

  Primary Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, rehearse, and lead worship services each Sunday and for other designated church events.
• Work closely with the Senior Pastor in planning worship services and related ministry activities.
• Recruit, train, and provide leadership to volunteer musicians and vocalists.
• Coordinate with the sound and media teams to ensure effective use of audio, visuals, and worship slides.
• Develop and oversee additional worship expressions as appropriate, such as choirs, worship teams, instrumental ensembles, or handbell choirs, either personally or through volunteer leaders.
