Role OverviewThe Worship Leader will serve as a primary catalyst for church growth by overseeing the strategy and execution of all large-group worship environments. You will lead a dynamic Experience Team consisting of worship, audio, and video volunteers, ensuring that technology and talent are used to their highest potential. Should the Biblical qualifications be met, this position will be a Pastoral role.
Job Focus and ScheduleThis position is a Full-Time salary role. We plan to present a competitive total compensation package which will be dependent upon several factors such as experience, education, talent, and ability. Primarily, we are looking for the person who is talented, has a heart for great worship, wants to reach the world with the truth of the Gospel, and is the right fit for our awesome staff team leading a growing church.
The #1 focus of the role will be to lead the worship of the church and to continually work to create an excellent in-person and online worship experience. The secondary function of the role will be highly staff collaborative and dependent upon the vision and goals of the church.
The style of worship we are aiming for is God honoring, vibrant, and relative. The base of which you will have to build from in this role is a praise team with keys, drums, bass, guitars, strings, and vocalists.
The church office hours are Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm. The general working week of our ministry staff is Sunday – Thursday with availability to be flexible in their schedule as needed. In this role you will set your own schedule according to the needs of your ministry leadership. Included in that schedule will be things such as Sunday worship leadership, weekly staff meeting, regular collaborative office hours for planning and growth, praise team practices, individual musical or vocal work sessions, a/v team meetings, personal spiritual development and accountability, and protected personal time.
Overview of Primary Focus Areas
Worship Strategy & Design: Create and implement a comprehensive strategy for excellent worship experiences. This includes managing the worship order and overseeing all audio-visual aspects, including music, video, and engagement elements. Virtual & Digital Reach: Design and deploy a unique experience specifically for online participants. You will use the website, app, and social media platforms as virtual resources to extend the Gospel message globally.Team Multiplication: Build a sustainable culture by recruiting, training, encouraging, and empowering a high-capacity team of volunteers.Infrastructure Management: Oversee equipment enhancements and renovations for both physical and online environments to ensure the church stays effective in an ever-changing technological landscape.Collaborative Planning: Work alongside senior leadership and staff to develop a long-term plan for multiplication and expansion beyond the current physical setting.
Key Qualifications
Proven Talent: A track record of leading worship with competent musical talent and a dynamic stage presence.Leadership Ability: Strong people skills with the ability to lead, develop, and manage a team. A large part of this job will also be to train, equip, and deploy others to lead worship as well.Technical Literacy: In-depth knowledge of audio-visual equipment, online streaming, and digital engagement (and/or the willingness to learn and improve through self-motivated education).Adaptability: Intuition to pivot in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to grow with new technology.Team Player: One who thrives in a staff-driven, collaborative environment.
